The one thing

Tonight I had a call with Ken Haberman. It was the first time we spoke to each other after having been email-contacts for over a year.

Referring to this blog – and reading and testing “Intimate Modeling, your FUN 7 Week Course” – and after having had some doubts earlier today – I was happy to have been supported by a great men like Ken.

I’m sure he didn’t knew – I was sitting in the car while it was almost freezing. It was late and I didn’t wanted to wake up my family.

I explained Ken that I found myself in a difficult situation. That in fact I am living in two different worlds – the one of coaching and the one of outdoor-tents. And that I could not drop one of both as I would not have enough income with only half of that.

Ken explained me that this would probably not work. It’s simply way more effective to concentrate on one thing only. ONE THING ONLY? That’s a book I remembered – from Gary Keller. That’s one of those books I read, understood and where I did not followed the instructions. Blame me again!

Thank you Ken for making me remember this.

Choosing one thing

“What are you pretending not to know?” Of course I know what the one thing should be. At least what direction it should go in.

How often have I told me stories that I started to believe and accept that were just not me?

Of course I had always know that 2 or more things at the same time were almost impossible. There is no one to blame but me.

There have been two very different things passionating my life.

  • Coaching for sustainability
  • Selling, designing and producing tents and apparel

Whatever I did – the second world always came back to me. Pulled me back in when I tried to escape from it. It would and will be so much easier to just accept that and continue building the best possible party in Europe for selling, designing and producing tents and apparel.

It doesn’t mean that I will never coach towards sustainability anymore. Just do one thing sequentially until I reach one thing.

The world we live in

Honestly Ken Haberman didn’t told me anything new. He wrote it all in his book. But hearing it from his voice – giving me a personal message – gives so much focussed energy to me.

One of the things that brings the most progress in moving toward the right company. If you’re all the time in contact with millionaires – it attracts money coming in. Moving around with local small farmers brings my mind in that direction and starts to attract that.

None of both is wrong. It’s my choice. The world I live in decides the world I live in. Don’t know if that sound in English?

There is Lt. Columbo again

In his book Ken Haberman referred to the movies from Lt. Columbo. All those movies start with the crime. Everyone know who did it. And Lt. Columbo, doing the research, looks at all those seemingly unimportant little details building it to the proof.

That’s what I am doing no. I am collecting all those little details as part of the proof that everything will come as planned. One more reason to concentrate on one thing only!

How long will I love you?

While writing I get inspired and empowered by music. I just listened to a short song from Ellie Goulding.

As a nice finish from this blog I want to give you the lyrics from this text. Because love is more important than any other thing.

  • How long will I love you?
  • As long as stars are above you,
  • And longer if I can
  • How long will I need you?
  • As long as the seasons need to Follow their plan
  • How long will I be with you?
  • As long as the sea is bound to Wash upon the sand
  • How long will I want you?
  • As long as you want me to,
  • And longer by far
  • How long will I hold you?
  • As long as your father told you,
  • As long as you can
  • How long will I give to you?
  • As long as I live through you,
  • However long you say
  • How long will I love you?
  • As long as stars are above you,
  • And longer if I may
  • We’re all traveling through time together
  • Every day of our lives
  • All we can do is do our best
  • To relish this remarkable ride
