Putting self development training to the test. In these blogs I am reading and testing the Intimate Modeling course from Ken Haberman.

The mindsets again

  1. Concentrate on one desire at a time
  2. Choose a desire you can imagine experiencing
  3. Clarify the essence of your desire
  4. Find a great big mighty why
  5. Can you experience it right now?

Today I am reading them in depth. Yesterday I had the computer reading it for me as an audio-book. Honestly, that never touched my hearth. It just entered my brains. That’s it. Of course, the monotone voice of a computer is by far less inspiring that the passionate voice of Ken Haberman – who did not yet made an ebook from Intimate Modeling.

Let’s walk over.

Concentrate on one desire at the time

I know, I know, I know. Doesn’t mean I am doing this all the time. Somehow I how this book will help me to focus.

Focussing on one thing means I have to drop another thing. And that other thing might be important for me too. Difficult. My mind however explains me that focussing on more things is as good as having no focussing at all.

Ken advices to write down at least 5 desires that come to my mind at first – without further clarification:

  • Financial freedom
  • the MAD-book project
  • Travelling
  • Finish our house
  • Successfully launch the Domo tent project

I have putten numbers of importance next to the desire to see which one is more favorable to focus on.

Choose a desire you can imagine experiencing right now

This is easy – four of the desires are very easy to experience right now. Just in a fraction of a second.

But the MAD book project however, takes a bit more time. It’s a great idea that has been in the fridge for a while. I do not like to admit it – but it takes a little while to experience it. But I CAN experience it right now.

So – all five of the desires pass Ken Haberman’s test.

Clarify the essence of your desire

I like this paragraph. I like putting things into their essence.

I have choses to focus on the financial freedom for now. Which doesn’t mean I can’t do anything on the other desires. I know that when one desire is fulfilled the others will come too.

After some tryouts in my diary I came to this essence:

I feel so lucky to enjoy financial freedom to support numerous ecological projects and live a comfortable life with my family.

Find a big and might why

From the Intimate Modeling course:

An inspiring desire is one that we not only passionately want but we know exactly what we passionately want it.

Then I slowed down reading when I hit the following sentences:

What would you do even if you never got paid for it?

If you had only one year to live, what would you spend your time doing?

For sure the last sentence hit me as a dear friend came to know he’s suffering from a terminal cancer. He now want’s to travel and do some adventurous things.

Ken suggest to write down as many reasons as I can think of.  Which I mainly do in my diary. Here is a short list:

  • To travel more
  • To enjoy paying off debts
  • To support more people and projects
  • To travel
  • For our comfort

This list is growing easily.

Can you experience it right now?

The last mindset goes to the experience. My choice of focus passes this test. I am looking forward to what the rest of the week will bring to me.
